You will be made very welcome and will some time with your Instructor prior to the session to explain the activity to you and register you for your Free Introductory Lesson.
Classes typically last 60 minutes and comprise of 8 elements which develop your flexibility, skill, balance, speed, agility and power.
You will be guided through a warm-up which, over time, will help condition your body towards Taekwon-Do. It will then be time to work on some foundation movements, basic blocks, punches and kicks individually before moving on to rehearsing this with a like-minded partner.
Naturally you will want to prove to yourself that techniques work for real and that you can deliver an effective punch, block or kick, so you will be introduced to pad-work which will allow you deliver the power without worrying about hurting yourself or your partner.
You will feel great now because you have been looked after, had a great time, learnt some excellent moves that will impress your friends and family and you will feel that you have started something special. Just think how skilful, fit, flexible you will be in a few months.
As with all exercise programmes you should always do some gentle movement warm-up exercises beforehand and some stretching exercises to warm-down afterwards. As with any physical activity programme please consult your GP before commencing if you have any health concerns.
