Taekwon-Do Licence / Membership / Insurance
Your full licence application and costs £40 per year per person. All club licences provide indemnity insurance cover to club members as well as membership to Premier Taekwon-Do Schools and its governing body.
Training Suit (Dobok)
The Dobok is a traditional symbol that should be worn and maintained with great care and respect. Doboks should be cleaned and pressed for training. A student should not expect to train if not in full uniform. The only markings on the Dobok are the ITF patch on the left, front (over the heart), the Taekwon-Do tree on the back and the club insignia/logo on the right arm.
Sparring Equipment
Sparring equipment is important to prevent injuries while training and is a requirement for all competitive sparring. By the time a student achieves his/her Yellow Belt (8th Kup), earlier is okay, he/she must own a complete set of sparring equipment. The set should include protective head gear, hand gear, foot gear and a mouth guard. Students without sparring gear will not be permitted to spar in class. If you would like to purchase the sparring equipment in stages, although a slightly more expensive route, then you should buy the Head-guard as soon as possible.
Male students are required to wear a protective cup in competition. Mout-Guards, Protective cups and chest-guards are also available for male & female students. Please ask your Instructor for more details.
